So since my last post.. Things have kinda sucked. I really haven’t gotten pictures of the house, because I’ve been pretty upset. I’m on my biggest monetary downswing ever, it got up to like 15k before I started booking wins two days ago. I’m pretty upset, and after one day of -7 buyins, I went out and bought a PS3 and a few games to ease the pain. It helped but I was still pretty sad. Then on Monday, I played live poker with 6-7 guys from my new town, and after that Pete and I grinded online, and later Leo came over… with his puppy.
It made me realllllly want a puppy, so yesterday Skyler (and her son Tristan) and I went to the pet store. They had no puppies but told us to go to the humane society. We got all the way out there and the humane society was closed for the day. We called information and found out where the animal shelter was and went there. We went into the first cage, and there was a litter of 5 puppies as well as 2 or 3 other puppies. They were all loud and jumping up to the fence.. except one puppy. She was so calm and so relaxed.
`We liked her right off the bat, but we went into the other room, and saw a beautiful husky puppy but it was unable to be adopted until the 19th. Sad story.. the rest of the puppies were really meh, so we went back into the first cage and pulled out the shy, quiet puppy and played with her. She was really upbeat and excited and got along with Tristan really well. Soooo, $55 later, and $300 at PetCo later.. we adopted Chloe.
Here she is on the way home from the animal shelter:

After we got home, she and I played for a bit, but she was whining a lot because she missed her brothers and sisters.. and she still does today, but she’s getting better. She’s really cuddly and loving and just really is a good dog so far. She slept well through the night, but on our walk this morning.. the garbage truck passed us and hit a bump and it made a really loud crash noise and that combined with Chloe still being kind of asleep made her insanely afraid of walking on the sidewalk. It’s gonna take a lot of training to get her to be okay again I think.. but other than that, she’s the perfect puppy.
Here she is playing with her frisbee this morning after we calmed her down:

So yeah, I’m on anti-tilt for quite a while now with Chloe in my life. Trying to get things around and get happier. Chloe’s about to wake up though (she’s chillin on my lap :)), so I’m gonna cut this off.
Good luck at the tables!
